Practice creating your class by first thinking all some attributes and behaviors could represent a person in your code. Keep it simple but meaningful. Use the techniques that you learned in this chapter to create a class definition for a person. Instantiate and use objects created from this class definition. Try using a NSMutableArray to hold a list of your person objects.
Learn how to restore your Apple Watch from a backup and pair it with your new iPhone. Or if you normally use iTunes to sync content to your iOS device, connect your device to your computer and use iTunes to sync that additional content.
Speaking of the command line, source control isn’t the only part of development commonly accessed that way. Tons of apps make use of tools like Cocoapods or fastlane when building apps. These aren’t just conveniences; In many cases, they’re critical parts of the development process. A lot of apps simply can’t be built without them. This might be the trickiest part of putting Xcode on the iPad. Let’s be honest: Apple isn’t going to give us command line access to iOS. Even if it did, a lot of command line developer tools rely on modifying data across application bundles in a way that isn’t possible on iOS.
3. Give up, Those are your legal options, there are some other options that are either illegal, or are in the gray area (meaning it’s debatable whether or not it is illegal), so I am not mentioning them, you want to know them, find them yourself, I won’t be responsible.
Of course you don’t have to understand everything in depth — this will come later with experience. But you need to fully immerse yourself into all this variables, pointers, classes, data types and loops. It will give you context for a further learning.
One thing that is significant though is that when you use primitive types as properties the syntax is a little different. For example, I am going to add a number property to my class that is an integer. Notice that it is done in a slightly different way:
Most importantly, at the end of this program you will have an excellent digital portfolio to show what you can build with your new coding skills, which will be necessary to land an entry-level iOS developer job or internship.
There’s no question about it, iPhone has become the people’s platform. While the PC maintains a healthy indie development scene, Apple’s handset, with its low barriers to entry and seamless consumer purchasing system, is the real rags-to-riches machine. In practically a month, you can develop an application that will be available to a global market of enthusiastic downloaders.
In the Build Your Own iOS App capstone you will expand your repertoire of additional features and more advanced functions that may be implemented within the iOS environment. You will refine your development skill set and will apply your acc… more
While at the top of the Paid Apps chart, iShoot was getting over 10,000 downloads a day, at $2.99 each. Take out Apple’s standard 30% commission and Nicholas was pulling in $21,000 a day. He quit his job at Sun and is now working on a new game (“My next project involves airborne sheep, but I’m afraid that’s all I can share at the moment”). You could be next….

It all started when my sister-in-law, Hannah, heard I was looking for a project to learn to develop for the iPad. She was working with an autistic boy using one of these clunky medical devices and suggested I build a replacement on the iPad. I’ve spent a lot of time designing software, but have never been a programmer. I focused on the user interface and experience which is where I could add the most value. With the help of some talented friends I set out to create OneVoice. The rest of the story is here: One Year With iOS and The Story Behind OneVoice.
Do your research. Examine apps in the app stores, including competitors, to identify best practices for monetizing similar apps. While it’s difficult to surmise exactly how much money your competitors are pulling in, you can identify the types of monetization strategies they use and how they frame their app content for ad impressions or optional transactions. Familiarize yourself with your competitors’ techniques and then ask yourself whether they’re missing a major opportunity. You should note elements of competitor apps you can improve on to enhance your monetization strategy or flat out make a better app.
