Because costs can vary, I’m going to approach the answer to this question several ways. First, I’m going to highlight what some of the smartest venture capitalists today believe are the necessary amounts of money to raise for a new venture. Many startups today are either exclusively or heavily app-focused. While the VC data points are for “big ideas,” these types of budgets are instructive to addressing the cost question.

The other challenge that we are facing regularly is the poor availability of energy services as there is usually no electric service in the commercial centers. A person must be sent there to turn on the equipment and again to go through all the pasting process for each tablet.

The text is clear and approachable, and Craig’s jolly writing style makes grasping important concepts and following along with examples both fun and memorable.

Check that you are logged in with your Apple ID. You will need to have an Apple ID linked with your iPad in order to download apps from the App Store. You can check by opening the Settings app and selecting “iTunes & App Store”. You should see your Apple ID at the top of the menu. If not, log in or create a new Apple ID.

I was frustrated like many other folks. Because of this article & blog I decided to check out the I-tunes site on my PC. Once there, under the “Library” list on the left I clicked on “APPS” (530 total). I noticed in the center at the top of the Apps page to the right of the highlighted word “APPS” is the word “GENRE”. Click on that & it groups ALL your Apps into the 20 different categories (as mentioned by Justin Kahn in the article). Each Genre (category) showed how many apps I had in it. By double clicking a genre it opened a list of ALL the Apps that was in it. YIPEEE!!!!!! At least now I can print each genre list & go to my i-pad 3 to know which app should go to which genre (category). I ALSO noticed that on my PC in i-tunes each app had a genre listed below it BUT NOT ON MY I-PAD3… They DON’t tell you the genre below. I was opening each one to figure it out! (I probably downloaded 25 – 50 apps at a time & unless the app title was specific I couldn’t remember what they were for.) THIS WILL MAKE IT SOOOOO MUCH FASTER!!! After I sort them by the 20 specified genres I may add a couple of my own (or add extra words to the original genre titles).

Price your product: You’re doing this for both fun and profit, right? If so, you need to figure out how much to charge per download. Apple keeps about one-third of the price, so you’ll get about $2 per sale if your application sells for $2.99. If you paid $2,000 to your developer, your app won’t break-even until after the 1000th sale. Cahill cautions that you shouldn’t expect the laws of supply and demand to work perfectly here. One developer created a “pretty bad” game, which sold poorly when it was priced at $3. Instead of revamping it, the developers simply hiked the price. Guess what? The game started selling better. “People are not necessarily buying based on value,” Cahill said. He suggests you set a price that allows you to recover your investment and potentially put your app on “sale” later.
